Each year during the month of August, Malaysia and its people will make all sorts of things and events to commemorate Independence Day on 31 August. This is in appreciation of those who has championed freedom of the country from colonialism. This year is the 57th anniversary. Baron Hotel has taken the opportunity of painting the building in August, the color of the flag as a symbol of patriotism.
